Carbone 14 is a Brussels-based 2D and 3D animation studio bringing films and series to life. From local collaborations to international productions, the studio recently contributed to Flow by Gints Zilbalodis, winner of the Oscar and Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature.

About us
Rooted in Belgium’s vibrant creative scene, Carbone 14 grew alongside singular voices such as Bruno Tondeur, Sacha Feiner, and Hannah Letaïf. These early collaborations shaped a bold and playful visual identity, which continues to evolve through every new artistic encounter.
The studio then turned to more ambitious projects, notably with Flow by Gints Zilbalodis, Carbone 14’s first 3D feature film. The film moved audiences and critics alike and was awarded both an Oscar and a Golden Globe.
Since its creation, Carbone 14 has been evolving around a variety of formats and techniques, with the aim of adapting to each project and the director’s artistic vision. More recently, this has led us to get involved in Nino Dino, a 78 x 7’ preschool series developed by Folivari (France) and animated in Blender, as well as S.IRENE.S, a 10 x 22’ series developed by Silex Animation (France) and animated in Harmony.
